Power Drills
Looking for some cordless
power drills? Not only is it annoying having to plug a
drill into a socket to get it to work, but it can also get in
the way of using the drill itself. Also, there are
certain times when you need to stick the drill in places where
there are no electrical sources near by and that can really
wind up giving you a headache.
The best solution is to look
for cordless power drills, these come with a battery pack which
when charged, you can use the drill pretty much anywhere and at
any angle without any problems. The only thing though is
finding cordless power drills that operate well and have the
power to perform their jobs without much
complication.
There are plenty of cordless
power drills out there, but only a few of them are worth
picking up. To help you make that decision for yourself,
I’ve logged a few reviews here so that it will be a bit easier
for you to choose one for your purposes:
1. Milwaukee
2601-22 18-Volt Li-ion Compact Drill Kit
At $179, this 18 volt drill is
one of the best portable drills out there. It is a bit
bigger and heavier than the others, due in part to it’s high
voltage it weighs in at 11-12 pounds, however 81 customers
having reviewed the product 4.5/5 stars can’t be wrong, this is
a drill to be contended with.
The Panasonic 15.6v drill is
arguably one of the best drills out there, but up against this,
the Milwaukee is a clear winner. Milwaukee may be a new
brand name in comparison to Panasonic, however it is shorter,
lighter and more powerful than it’s Panasonic counterpart, even
the charge time of the battery is faster.
If you’re looking for sheer
power this is the drill for you.
2. Milwaukee
2401-22 12V 12-Volt Li-ion Sub-Compact Driver
Kit
If you’re looking for
something a bit lighter and less expensive, you might want to
get the $99 12V drill. This is equally popular as this
has a 4.5/5 star rating from 106 customer reviews at
Amazon. It comes with 150 in.lbs of torque, 0-500 RPM, a
built in LED for illumination in dark spots, a metal gear
housing for extra durability and a battery fuel gauge which
displays remaining run time.
This is a great tool that
weighs in at 6.7 pounds, it has a long run time, good power and
chuck and feels good in the hand, there is nothing but great
reviews for this drill.
Now these are just 2 of the
better cordless power drills available, both by
Milwaukee. You may also want to look into Makita though
as they produce great units as well.
