Cordless Drills
Looking into Makita cordless
drills? Makita is a trusted name when it comes to power
tools of any kind, they are one brand which is well known
amongst many on the job work sites. Now if you’re looking
for some Makita cordless drills but have no idea which ones to
get, I’ve got an inside look into a few of them which will help
you to make a better purchase decision.
So if you’re confused about
what the good Makita cordless drills are, here are the best of
the best:
1. Bare-Tool
Makita BHP452Z 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless 1/2-Inch Hammer
Driver-Drill (Tool Only, No Battery)
This drill is on the lower end
of the price spectrum at $68.82 on Amazon, however it is one of
the better ones nevertheless. This drill will give you
450 in.lbs. of max torque and it has a variable 2 speed all
metal transmission (0-400 / 0-1,500 RPM) which can be used for
many different things.
It is a small drill at only 8
¾” long and it weighs 4.2 pounds so it is quite easy to operate
and maneuver about.
This has been reviewed by
several people on Amazon, one being someone who has worked in
construction for over 10 years who says it outperforms
Milwaukee, DeWalt and Panasonic in terms of innovation,
ruggedness and usability.
Despite treating it roughly,
it holds up quite well to abuse, the only thing is if you get
it, be sure to get more batteries.
2. Makita
6270DWPE 12-volt Ni-Cad 3/8-inch Cordless Drill/Driver
Kit
A step up in Makita cordless
drills is this $147.90 drill. It’s a great drill that has
plenty of power. A lot of people seem to think that more
power is better, but the more power you have, the heavier the
unit gets and the more annoying it is to lug around. This
one is only 3.31 pounds and has enough strength to drive in lag
screws to wood without pilot holes.
Again, if you buy this, be
sure to get extra batteries, especially if the decide to stop
making the 12V model.
3. Makita
6260DWPE 9.6-Volt 3/8-Inch Cordless Drill/Driver
Kit
Another great drill at a lower
voltage, this one goes for $140.12. If you want the
smallest and lightest drill that can still perform tasks with a
good amount of speed and power, this is a great option to
consider. Makita makes great rechargeable cordless tools,
and this is one that unlike others can hold a charge. One
reviewer even mentioned this outperforming a 13 volt Craftsman,
it’s that good.
There are many other Makita
cordless drills, but this should give you a good overview of
what is available. Do make sure to look around some more
before you buy.
